With the emergence of high definition video, the increasing demand for high quality audio is nothing but natural. Traditionally, to fully enjoy an HD movie, one would require a Blu-ray Disc Player or Smart Media Player connected to an AV receiver with five satellite speakers and a subwoofer, which is then connected to the TV. Big Tribute to Teachers Set

Hundreds of educators from all over the country will converge on September 29 at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Ortigas Center, Quezon City for A Tribute to Teachers.

A Tribute to Teachers, a project of Bato Balani Foundation Inc (BBFI) and Diwa Learning Systems, is the country's biggest and most anticipated gathering of educators. This year, it will carry the theme The 21st Century Filipino: A Filipino at Heart, Spirit, and Soul.

Saturnino Belen, BBFI Chairman and Diwa President says, "The teacher of the 21st century has become more important than ever. This is despite and because of the increasing use of Information and Communications Technology (ICT) as well as globalization of education in the Philippines. Since the 21st century learner is more exposed to these technological innovations, the teacher's guidance, wisdom, and love balance the high-tech with high-touch."

The event also celebrates the National Teachers Month, which recognizes the teachers' roles in nation building.

A highlight of the event is the announcement of this year's set of honorees for The Many Faces of the Teacher advocacy program, which seeks to inspire educators with remarkable stories of teachers' heroism.

The Many Faces of the Teacher is the yearly search for educators who have inspiring stories that may be shared for others to emulate. These stories include accounts of perseverance, purpose, and faith in shaping generations of youth. MANILA, 20 September 2012  Inspired by the public’s overwhelming response to its Free Seats promo for Davao and Kalibo, Philippines’ AirAsia, the country’s newest low cost carrier, today extended its Free Seats promo on its international destinations. Under this promo, the seats are totally free with guest only paying for fuel surcharge, processing fee and government mandated fees such as aviation security fee and VAT.   

All-in fare from Clark International Airport to AirAsia’s international destinations starts at P400 for Hong Kong and Macau, from as low as P1,290 for Kuala Lumpur and P5,639 for  Australia via Fly-Thru service.

 “Bargain hunters, budget travelers and holidaymakers will surely have a blast especially since with our promos, planning a trip is easiest with our fares and rates all clearly laid out to our guests,” AirAsia Inc. CEO Maan Hontiveros said.

 The Free Seats promo on international destinations is  available online at www.airasia.com from 20 - 23 September 2012, and guests will be able to travel from 1 April to 30 September 2013.
